It's a mad mad world

Well it has been awhile since I have taken the time to express my thoughts via the web so I thought tonight I would put some thoughts out there. I guess everyone has heard by now of the U. S. Border Patrol agent who was held at gunpoint by the Mexican army until fellow agents showed up. Oh, this happened on American soil. Not only are we not allowing the Border Patrol to do their jobs, we are now allowing them to be held at gunpoint by an invading army. Why don't we leave Iraq to the ungrateful, and come home and kick some tail south of the border. We need another Ronald Reagan to remind the world of who America is supposed to be. Russia invades Georgia, Bush tells them to back off, to no avail. They know we are impotent. It is indeed a sad time in America.
On the social front there is some interesting things going on. Back in February 15 year old Larry King was killed at school by a classmate. Larry was gay and enjoyed wearing makeup and feminine clothing to school. As much as I believe homosexuality is immoral it is in no way a reason to take a life. But the parents are suing the school district for not enforcing the dress code, which they say contributed to the death of their son. We all know if the school had tried to prevent him from dressing like that the ACLU would have gleefully filed a discrimination suit. It is up to the parents to train and raise their children, not the school's. I'm sorry this young man was killed, but it was not the school's fault.
Disney has some parents up in arms and rightfully so. There are now panties for little girls based on the hit movie "High School Musical" Why is that a big deal? The panties say "Dive In". Remember when Disney represented moral values? I remember if it was Disney, then you could bet it was wholesome. Those days are long gone. I can't help but wonder what Walt would think of the direction his company has gone. It truly is a mad mad world.
